Hi.

We’re Liz and Jo! Thanks for joining us at a journey bespoke, our Jakarta-based blog that we started back in 2014 and continued to write until the end of 2019.

Hello there! With the holiday season drawing increasingly near, we know you are busy, so this week we're keeping it brief with a simple holiday gift wrapping idea.

I'm the worst gift wrapper in my household ... paper, tape and neat corners are not my forte, so I often turn to beautiful fabric to get the job done. I love that you can use a simple square of fabric or even an off-cut to wrap just about anything. Using fabric to wrap gifts is a particularly good method, for oddly-shaped gifts, and the fabric that you have used becomes a part of the gift. Bonus!

So as an alternative to paper wrapping this year, why not try fabric!

Why not use a tea towel to wrap a gift and you have two gifts in one! Tea towel by Kamilinen from the Good Things in Life Co. and grosgrain ribbon sourced at Pasar Mayestik.

A simple fold and a knot and you're ready to go! Avoiding waste and truly personalising your gift.
